“I just read a blog post from Teresa Romain.  It was so enlightening, that I wanted to share it with our readers.  You may recognize yourself  somewhere in this article.  I sure did!” Judy I was rolling along… Then the wheels came off! Okay – let me get straight to the point.  Since the holidays, [...]

Mind Clutter

Clean out the Mind Clutter!  We have all heard it, some more than others, but if you are in the network marketing business, you have heard it.

“This business is so hard.  People are just too busy to want to hold parties.”

“I love my products, but I feel like they’re too expensive.”

“I can sign up a lot of people, but then no one wants to do anything.”

Sound familiar?  Maybe too familiar because you were shouting, “That’s what I think!”  So, what do all of these things have in common?

Make Every Monday Better

How can you make every Monday better?  In my search for a blog idea for today, I thought about a few easy things that each of us can do, to change our lives for the better.   Each of us can make a difference, in so many ways, but here are a few ideas:

MENTOR A CHILD:  15 Million children need mentoring.  1 out of every 3 students in public high schools, will not graduate.

ADOPT A PET:  8 Million dogs and cats are placed in animal shelters every year.  Over 4 million are euthanized.  Only 15% of owned pets, were adopted from an animal shelter…

New Beginnings

This is the time when almost everyone celebrates the New Year, and new beginnings — at least for business purposes. This is a time for reflection and joy.

Did you ever wonder that the in the Northern Hemisphere it is also our Winter Solstice, which brings longer days, more light and the rebirth of spring? We are really looking forward to warmer days, and more light!

With the start of a New Year, it is the perfect time to review the past and preview the future. After all, even the sun is coming back! (My apologies to our subscribers in the Southern Hemisphere…your time will come in June).

How We Live Our Lives

Annie Dillard once noted “How we live our days is how we live our lives.”  We all have approximately 365 great days a year.  Make the most of these days given to you, by beginning in the morning.  Start with a good breakfast!

In all seriousness, how you begin the morning sets the tone for the day, which is the time of your life. This is important stuff!  Choose the first hour of your day!

For some people, a great day begins with reading or prayer.  Others begin at the gym, while others start by getting the kids dressed and off to school.  Some make oatmeal, fruit and coffee. I think success requires that you start the day in the way that is right for you.

Our Lady’s Juggler

Many years ago, I used to write Christmas poems, and decided that it would be fun to start that custom again.  Hope you enjoy Our Lady’s Juggler, as much as I did, creating it.

Merry Christmas…Judy
“OUR LADY’S JUGGLER”
From out of a French legend
Arrived a poor juggler, called John.
His role was to amuse the crowd
With his jokes, patter, and song.

Though he was kindhearted
And very devout…
He was often the butt
Of cruel jokes, and what-not.

Time For Reflection

This is my favorite time of the year.  It is the time for   reflection on what is happening in your life.   While   running errands, I was sitting in traffic, so I turned  on the radio and heard John Lennon’s, “Happy Xmas (War is Over)”.

Unfortunately war and terrorism are not over, yet.  To  people all over the world who are caught up in violence,  often far from home, lonely, hungry and scared, our  fervent wishes that the New Year bring peace.  In this season, may you know the ordinary joy of…

Top 10 LinkedIn Marketing Tips

We recently ran across a very good article by Lewis Howes with 10 great tips for maximizing LinkedIn. So good in fact, we wanted to share it here.

We know that many people have accounts at LinkedIn, but we think very few people know how to fully optimize their LinkedIn profiles for success, and even fewer probably know how to get the best out of LinkedIn.

Where Facebook tops the list of fun social networking sites, LinkedIn tops the charts for business networking. With over 85 million users, LinkedIn offers…

Greatness Is Your Birthright

Greatness is your birthright.  So, with that in mind, what does a GREAT life mean to you?  That is one of the most important questions an adult can ask and answer.   Here are some thoughts, that I learned from one of my favorite mentors…Philip Humbert.  No one wants to live a life of misery, but in many ways we think it’s even more important that we refuse to live a life of boredom, repetition, or a life  filled with “partly cloudy” days. Too many of us settle for safety.tv, or comfort.com, or convenience.org,  instead of actually living our own unique and wonderful lives.

Dreaming

Part of our paradigm shift power, is dreaming.  Yes, learning to dream again, will help you get “out of the rat race” and spend some time “smelling the cheese” of your own dreams and desires.

For some of us, that is a hard lesson.  Our dreams seem to have been lost in the reality of years ago.  Our goal should be to find a vehicle for fulfilling lifelong dreams, and find a coach to help us dream again.

Sell What People Want, Not What They Need

People Buy What They WantOne of the hardest marketing lessons to learn (or so it would seem) is to always understand that people buy what they want, not what they need. Yet, mastering that understanding is the key to success or failure. It doesn’t matter what product you sell or what industry you’re in, if you are trying to sell based on your customers needs, you’re headed down the wrong road.

Rarely do people buy based on needs. We’ve all seen people who may not have a job, or may not have health insurance, but they will be lined up to buy the biggest, baddest high definition television. People buy because they WANT, rarely because they NEED…….

Life Is Like A Rubber Band Part Two

Several days ago, we looked at Life is a rubber band… “vision and reality”. Let’s explore that further, with part two. We understand the value of goals, and how they will help increase our “vision”.

Think of your goals as a vehicle to the substance, style, and freedom of a rewarding life. Just like you need your “car” or a mode of transportation, to get you from point A to point B … you need your goals to get you from where you are, to where you want to be….

Life Is Like A Rubber Band Part One

Sometimes, life is like a rubber band.  Imagine you are holding a large rubber band, between your hands.  Move your hands apart, and the rubber band stretches…right?  Now, what does that rubber band want to naturally do?  It wants to relax, and come back together.

Taking this a step further, imagine the left hand is your reality.  Everything you are in your life today, and everything you have, including all of your thoughts and feeling about your life.

Now let’s imagine the right hand is your vision….
