Hey Judy,

I am a very neat, tidy and well ordered person. The one exception is paper. I definitely fall into your “controlled chaos” category I think.

I like to be surrounded by my reference books, files, paperwork – all piled high and all within arm’s length. I know that if I throw a sheet of paper out that I will (almost immediately) need to refer to whatever vital and important information was written on it!

Anyway, it works for me.

I think life is best lived when you found it upon principles rather than plans. The Dalai Lama was asked what surprised him most, he said simply,

“Man.” The reason?

“Because he sacrifices his health in order to make money.
Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health.
And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present;
the result being that he does not live in the present or the future;
he lives as if he is never going to die,

I believe that life is meant to be lived; every moment savored and enjoyed without fear being our chartsman or ancillary concerns unrelated to ourselves ruling our lives. Too often we are hobbled by facades, blanketing ourselves with fading fashions or keeping up appearances.
