Greatness Is Your Birthright

11. November 2010

Greatness is your birthright.  So, with that in mind, what does a GREAT life mean to you?  That is one of the most important questions an adult can ask and answer.   Here are some thoughts, that I learned from one of my favorite mentors…Philip Humbert.  No one wants to live a life of misery, but in many ways we think it’s even more important that we refuse to live a life of boredom, repetition, or a life  filled with “partly cloudy” days. Too many of us settle for safety.tv, or comfort.com, or convenience.org,  instead of actually living our own unique and wonderful lives.

Dreaming

9. November 2010

Part of our paradigm shift power, is dreaming.  Yes, learning to dream again, will help you get “out of the rat race” and spend some time “smelling the cheese” of your own dreams and desires.

For some of us, that is a hard lesson.  Our dreams seem to have been lost in the reality of years ago.  Our goal should be to find a vehicle for fulfilling lifelong dreams, and find a coach to help us dream again.

Life Is Like A Rubber Band Part Two

4. November 2010

Several days ago, we looked at Life is a rubber band… “vision and reality”. Let’s explore that further, with part two. We understand the value of goals, and how they will help increase our “vision”.

Think of your goals as a vehicle to the substance, style, and freedom of a rewarding life. Just like you need your “car” or a mode of transportation, to get you from point A to point B … you need your goals to get you from where you are, to where you want to be….

Life Is Like A Rubber Band Part One

2. November 2010

Sometimes, life is like a rubber band.  Imagine you are holding a large rubber band, between your hands.  Move your hands apart, and the rubber band stretches…right?  Now, what does that rubber band want to naturally do?  It wants to relax, and come back together.

Taking this a step further, imagine the left hand is your reality.  Everything you are in your life today, and everything you have, including all of your thoughts and feeling about your life.

Now let’s imagine the right hand is your vision….

Three Phrases For Success

28. October 2010

Have you ever noticed how you can detect a person’s approach to life, by the words they use in every day conversations?  Are they a pessimist, or an optimist?

The optimist says “It can be done.  We just have to find a way to do it.”

The pessimist will say, “I don’t think it will work.  We’ve tried it before, and it wasn’t good.”  You will find that most people are consistent.

By adding just three simple phrases to our vocabulary, we can all shift our approach to life, create success, and realize our own greatness!  Want to know what they are?

10 Ways to Coach Yourself to Total Success!

by Dr. Philip E. Humbert

I have many articles from Dr. Humbert, but I especially enjoyed this one, so I am sharing it with you today.  Enjoy…

Coaching is about being your best.  It’s about performance, about staying the course and, in the end, about creating and living the life you really want.  Many people use coaches to make more money, win the gold prize or do something dramatic.  That’s fun, and when it’s right, it’s wonderful!

But most importantly…

What Is Money To You? Part Two

12. October 2010

Last week we looked at money, and what it means to each of us.  We discovered that money is just not a “word in the dictionary” .  Money, also represents an emotion to most of us.   Can we have freedom, and independence without money?  Can we have it with money?

What Is Money To You? Part One

9. October 2010

When deciding to look at this subject closer…you will want to start with a $20.00 bill, and a dictionary.  Ask yourself, what is money?  The definition I found is: “money — stamped pieces of metal, or any paper notes, authorized by the government as a medium of exchange.”

If money is just stamped pieces of paper, or metal, than WHY does it have such power over our lives?

Keep a journal of abundance and acknowledgment. On a daily basis, write in a small notebook these two sentences:

“Today I am grateful for…….”
”Today I acknowledge or praise myself for……..”

Record 10 responses to each. 10 Gratitude’s and 10 Acknowledgments
The entries can be for big or small things. Maybe it is simply:
“I acknowledge myself for washing my face before bed, because I usually
don’t want to!

This exercise is designed to help you begin to focus your thoughts daily, on the abundance around, and within you. It will shift your energy and your reality. So will this next exercise…..

What is your most important investment?  What’s the most important thing in your life, the one that you must achieve during your brief time on this small planet?

This is not a trick question, but it does have a “tricky” answer.

You probably answer, like most people, with things like… their spirituality, their children or family, their career or health.  If this was your answer, maybe you should rethink it.  Yes all of those things are important!  But dig a little deeper on this one.

Maybe the most important thing in life is…..

Picture Yourself Successful

As the owner of a Photography Studio for nine years, experience taught me many things about photography, and life itself. In many ways, the two are very similar. The process of creating a perfect photograph, involves many steps, that correspond to creating a perfect vision of your successful life.

Here are some examples:
To take a picture, you must point the viewfinder toward the object you want to capture. The same holds true with your vision. You need to determine what outcome you desire. Define your “picture” and identify the requirements, and determine how you will reach them……

Enjoy The Climb

Thomas Edison never viewed any of his light bulbs that did not work, as a failure. Rather, each broken prototype brought him closer to his success.

Colonel Sanders was rejected over 500 times, before someone decided to take a chance on his famous fried chicken recipe. The rest is history.

Sandy Moreland lost her mother and her daughter in the same week. From that total despair, she picked herself up, and made the decision to care for others, and replace some of her lost love.

Vidanne Tsamis, a successful actress, was paralyzed in a devastating accident. Undaunted, she built a successful network marketing business from her bedroom, in which she lives.

What do these famous people have that others don’t? One thing seems certain to us. Each have a tremendous strength of purpose, that strength that comes from deep within, that propels them to success. The difference between wise and foolish is …..
