Audio Training: “Living a Life That Matters”
One of our passions here at “The Robin and Judy Show” is helping people recognize that increasing their incomes means they can do more good in the world. These days, we hear alot of talk about earning life-changing incomes for bigger houses, more expensive vehicles, lavish lifestyles and more.
We’d like to suggest that there’s something so much more important…… saving lives. We’d like to further suggest that when you build your business on the principles of living a life that matters, earning more to change more lives around the world, your business grows in ways you can’t begin to imagine.
We invite you to listen to the audio, then leave your comments below. Specifically, we’d love to know more about what you are doing to make a difference. We’d also love to know about other charitable organizations that you support and recommend. Feel free to include links to the organizations if you have them….
Here are the links to the organizations we reference in the audio:
Heifer.org Helping families become entrepreneurs through the gift of animals
Water For Life Providing clean drinking water to areas desperate for water.
Mission Feeding Providing food to those who would otherwise die of hunger.
Homes For Life Building homes for those in extreme poverty
BuildOn.org Building schools from the ground up in places where no schools currently exist.
Together, by helping each other grow our businesses, we can do so much more in the world. Share this post with others…let’s work together to make a difference!
Wishing you great success,
Robin and Judy

Hi Beverly
Doesn’t it just make your heart feel “great” when you can make a difference to someone else. Small or large, the same feeling of “gosh that felt good” is always present. Especially when it is an unexpected form of giving back. That REALLY makes our hearts sing! Thanks for your words of encouragement…we truly appreciate it!
To your success, always…

Hi Ladies!
Thank you for your wonderful radio show on giving and doing our part in the world. Service is such a big part of success from our standpoint. We see our success as only possible through the service of others, and especially through giving to people less fortunate. There is an organization similar to Water For Life, that helps to provide clean water sources worldwide, called “A Welcome Flood” provides very “hip” t-shirts for sale on their site, and the proceeds go to the project. My daughter and I got some and they are COOL… http://www.awelcomeflood.com and you can get more info there.
Here is a blurb from their site: A Welcome Flood is an organization dedicated to promoting awareness about the shortage of clean drinking water in the developing world. 20% of our proceeds go directly to Charity: Water to fund long term projects such as drilling wells in areas of the world where there is a severe need for clean drinking water.
Check them out!!
Glad to meet you wonderful women. Love where you are coming from.

Robin and Judy, What a great concept to put out to all of us, to think in terms of providing valuable service to those in need – and the financial part of the business will take care of itself. I want to add that there is nothing wrong with wanting a beautiful, and expansive, home – especially when you are struggling each month just to pay basice bills. But having a more comprehensive and meaningful purpose for your life and your business is really the only way to create joy. Lately, I have been donating to a public radio station that provides classical music, Classcial South Florida. Not only do they play the music but they teach about it, delve into the private lives of the composers – both living and deceased. it is an education and pleasurable experience. I also contribute to Public Television because they provide incredibley worthwhile programs.

What a glorious idea, to have a public radio station dedicated to classical music. It sounds wonderful! Thanks for the comments, and the idea of contributing to public tv. It is an awesome program, and deserves more recognition!

Hi Robin and Judy,
I listened to your show and I totally understand and agree. I’m glad you posted resources. I think it’s important to put a call like this out into “space” to remind people, including me of all the work that needs to be done. One of the things I do is offer a free childbirth education center for women to have access to (so if you know any pregnant women – send them to me)but there’s so much more to do… thank you for this. It’s appreciated.

Top stuff ladies – apart from the brief opening giggle-fest!!
Unusually compared with mainstream media, and far too rarely mentioned in this age of Western capitalist dominance, you instead posed a startling challenge that contains the potential to energize our businesses and lives, yes. And especially for the recipients.
The other day an image in a news mag totally burned itself into my mind – a photo of “tomb kids” playing happily among the bones and filth of a disgusting Philippines cemetery. Why? They were born there and their families knew of nothing else.
You’ve inspired me for sure.

Stew,
Thanks so much… One of the things we’ve noticed over the years and you may have as well, is that many people who would like to create their own business often begin by saying “I don’t want to be rich…I just want to make a little extra money.” There is often a negative association with wanting to create life-changing income…which often leads many entrepreneurs to lack the motivation to accomplish as much as they actually could. Or, perhaps it’s the inner thought of many people that they can’t see themselves earning life-changing incomes..but either way, they put a mental limit on what they can achieve.
We’d like to suggest that more entrepreneurs look beyond themselves at what they can do for others with the income they create. It’s a great motivating factor. I used to keep photos of orphan children taped to my computer monitor to remind me why I was doing what I needed to do that day. On the days I felt like being lazy, I couldn’t look at those faces and not work.
As someone mentioned earlier, there is absolutely nothing wrong with getting that great car or bigger house. That’s part of the great reward for doing what we do….we can choose how we spend the income. We’d just like to see a movement of entrepreneurs who do what governments are often unable or unwilling to do; make a difference in someone else’s life.
If you know of or hear of an organization that does work to help the “tomb kids” please be sure to let us know. There are so many needs but we all can do something!
Thanks again……

Thank you so much for such a powerful and inspirational talk!
When you said,”Even if I just saved ONE Life, what would be better then that?”, it really touched my heart. A life that matters is one that is connected with the world and is a servant. You have really shown us how easy it is to make a huge difference.
Thank you for leading by example and inspiring me, and so many others, to live a life that matters.
Also, I just LOVE the quote about the Ark and the Titanic! It’s awesome and so true(I think I might just have to use that one!).
Looking forward to getting to know you amazing women.
